Hi there, my name is Brendan Conheady. I am a theatrical consultant who has worked for over 15 years in play publishing and licensing. I have spoken to and corresponded with thousands of drama teachers and directors. I have worked hand-in-hand with some of the most popular writers of plays for schools.
This site is in no way an objective survey of the world of school theatre. I know many of the playwrights listed here. I have worked with (or currently work with) some of the companies listed here. I have even written some of the plays listed here.
The goal of this site isn't to give you a comprehensive view of all of the plays available for schools. Rather, this is just one person's subjective (but highly informed) compilation of some excellent plays available for schools.
My hope is that the lists and articles on this site will help lead you to the perfect play for your school; something that you may not have otherwise discovered.
